Review: Full Domain

Full Domain Full Domain by Kindle Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Daaaaaaaaaaamn that was looooong.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• I don’t know about the cover… its creeps the hell out of me. I love Kreed Sinacola, but the way I picture him is scary big teddy bear.

• I have to be honest so here we go… Aaron secret was just a big disappointment. I’m sorry. I felt like it was just added there for the sake of having the story longer than it should be. I can forget that thing, there so many good things so yeah… I will pretend that part is not a [part of the story. (Because it’s really not.)

• Frankly I actually never cared about their mission, I wanted to skip them–don’t worry, I did not–I just wanted those Kreed & Aaron parts. Love the chemistry between the two of them.

• Let’s talk about Kreed Sinacola… damn! That man is so hot! I just love being inside his head. He’s so sweeeet–super sweet– and loving I’m kinda jealous of Aaaron–lucky SOB. I just want to kiss, hug and do the dirstiest things that he wants to do with me. *evil laugh* I can’t believe I wrote that.

• I’m kinda sad that this is the last book of the series. But it ended with a good story so… JOB WELL DONE!

• Dear Kindle Alexander,
I wish you’ll write a series with just two or three main characters…

Review: Night Speed

Night Speed Night Speed by Chris Howard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well well well… I am impressed! A LOT!!! THIS IS SO GOOD! *thumbs up*
*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• I actually reread the first couple of chapters before really liking it. I’m so glad I reread it. I think the first time I read it was the time I was so groggy from the lack of sleep… LOL. I mean I was actually looking for a book that will put me to sleep. I was reading Night Speed chapter 2 or 3 when I fell asleep. So what I am really saying is reading night Speed requires a lot of attention. *grin* DON’T READ IT WHEN YOU’RE SLEEPY.

• I chose to read this book mainly because the author (as far as I know) is a guy. Sorry! But it’s true; HarperCollins ARC written by male are majority of the book that did not disappoint me for every catalog. Aaaand male authors usually don’t over romanticized YA books. Sometimes they lacked romance but that’s okay. Chris Howard nailed this thing! I love it!

• I also love the way the story went. I thought the story is going to the way I expected it but it went to another way without breaking the excitement I felt. Chris Howards gives constant great scenes.

• The backdrop though… it was good but I think it needs to have a specific timeline. I don’t mind that it doesn’t have one, but it’s better if it has I think.
It feels current but with this ‘secret organization thingy that is not so secret’ it’s a bit hard to find its place.

• CHARACTERS:
 Lana/Alana – Honestly, at first I was a bit thrown off guard when I realized that the protagonist is a female. (Sexist me much, I know. But I’m really not.) I think she’s cool. I felt her sadness, especially when she talks/thinks about her younger brother. Then when she’s excited and scared, I felt like I was in her place while reading Night Speed. What happened to her in the story is mind blowing in a way. Her transition from a ‘law enforcer’ catching criminals then to be a criminal. GOSH! I THINK I SAID TO MUCH! #SPOILER

 Ethan – lets just say that he is one of the ‘criminals’ and he and Lana became close. *grin*

 Trevor – I KNEW IT! GRRR!!! IEFFING KNEW IT! IT WAS YOU! WAAAH!!! *banging my head on the table*

• I am not a big fan of the cover… I love that ‘WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU FASTER’
LURVE IT!

Review: Kings Rising

Kings Rising Kings Rising by C.S. Pacat
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve been waiting for this book since like for-ev-er. Thank God!!!
Thank You so so much CS Pacat! Thank you so much with this beautiful and absolutely fascinating love story! I say all the waiting I’ve endured is worth it!
I’ve been a big fan of the ‘love story’ of Damen & Laurent since the first time I read their story!
I even re-read the first and second book before I read this. You know what? They are still my #1 M-M books favorite couple. I don’t know exactly why that is. But I know that no other fictional gay couple beats this two’s chemistry. *grin* *fanning my face*

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• Kings Rising is the most HOTTEST, SEXIEST AND JUCIEST book of this series.
I actually remember my request on my review of the second book years ago… I said that I want more Damen and Laurent SEXy scenes. CS Pacat delivers, yes she did!
Daaaaamnnn! *fanning my face again*
SO HOT! It is kinda hard to sit… if you know what I mean. There are also these annoying–not really–butterflies that kept on fluttering in my belly, no kidding. *phew* *wiping the sweat off my face*

• I really love that the title is ‘Kings Rising’… in a way, I think, says it all and it’s just makes you more excited reading it. *thumbs up*

• I love the way the story ended. No gripes and everything. But I have to admit honestly that I was left wanting more. I mean I kinda don’t want to figure out their future in my head. I don’t feel that their story is unfinished I just really want more.
For all the things that happened to this two I think they deserves to have a novella or a full-length book that doesn’t have that much problems. Maybe just the two of them. Besides… they were not crowned yet… right? I kinda want to see that too. AND–too many ands, I know–I still don’t know who will they be together while ruling two different kingdoms.
PLEASE! C’MON GUYS! LETS BUGGER CS PACAT!

• CHARACTERS-
o DAMIANOS (Damen) – SO DARN HOT AND SEXY AND YUMMY. I wish he’s mine. *sigh* Lucky Laurent. He’s also very caring and loving. *sigh again*

o LAURENT – I envy you. *LOL*
This guy is evil, without a question. But you also got to love his wickedness.
There are some part of this book with Laurent’s POV I kinda wish there’s more. (Why? Because I want more!)
How do I pronounce his name? Is it the same as Saint-Laurent?

• This is a story like no other. Not because it involves two guys but in a way, I think, it is a book for everyone (exclude young ones). I think female reader will read this and some guys… well the open minded ones. I recommend it to everyone. READ THIS! You won’t regret it.

• I honestly will reread this whole thing soon.
There’s only few series that I reread, not even 10 series. So yeah.

Review: Queen of Hearts

Queen of Hearts Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have no idea that this book was published years ago… *grin*
I really thought it was a new series.
HarperCollins gave me an ARC so I didn’t bother checking goodreads… so yeah… I’ve written this review after I finished QoH.

It was the “Evil is rising in Wonderland” that got me honestly.

I love the story. It was nothing I’ve ever read… I think its genius to pick the Queen of Hearts not Alice like other writing usually do. *thumbs up*

I wish it was longer.
I’m kinda excited to read the next one.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• I hate the cover… SORRY! The girl there is soooo freaking creepy. The idea is fun and pretty cool, its just the girl there…

• I really like that it isn’t a total retelling of a classical book. It’s not the same story as the Alice in the Wonderland and there’s no girl that named liked Alice or even a descendant or something. It was totally different but the vibe and everything it is there. It’s about The Queen… but not really her. It was really good! I recommend it to everyone!

• The story is really great… but if you’re looking for a bit of a romance… well it kinda fell flat there. It’s not a romance book… but there’s a love interest so… yeah.

• The fantasy of it is stellar. I was completely into it. It was absolutely believable. *grin*
I wish there’s a map though.

• Since it was short, this book is perfect for those on a long drive, long fight etc. I guarantee you boring is not how you will describe this book.

Review: Dagger

Dagger Dagger by Steven dos Santos
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

SO MUCH FUN AND DAGGER IS A KICKASS SOB!
It started great and ended great! I can’t wait for the next one.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• DUST - Department of Unexplained Supernatural Terrorism
Daaamn… their headquarters… let’s just say it’s one of a kind! Ha!
Where can I sign up? I wanna join.

• This thing kinda reminded me of DEO on SUPERGIRL. The only difference is that they fight alien there and Dagger fights supernatural ‘elements’. So yeah.

• I love that Dagger is still on school and having his ‘life’ there. It was separated to his supernatural ‘life’. I think that balance everything.

• I’m just sad that … did that. WHY? What an A-HOLE. Sticking his nose on other people’s business. Now look what happened. *shaking my head*
I really hate betrayals! It makes my heart ache, literally, for the one being betrayed. So sad.

• I think the concept of young guy fighting supernatural forces is not original. But Steven dos Santos added some elements that make this one unique and I really love what he did. Good job!

• I think a few months or a year after now I still remember the story. I don’t need to re-read the whole thing before reading the second book. It’s pretty memorable.

• SUGGESTION: I really do believe that this story will be more ‘powerful’ if it has a prequel. There are some parts that need in a way a support. I’m talking about the last part. How did … ended up there?

• BY THE WAY… THE COVER UIS A KILLER!!! LOVE IT SO MUCH!

• BOOK 2 PLEASE!

Review: The Crown's Game

The Crown's Game The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The last part… is very confusing.
Is there second book or something?

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• It was a fun read the game itself is boring… or maybe it was the enchanters. I want some thrill. The title was so bad-ass so my expectations are very high and I want to ‘see’ some blood.
Picturing it inside my head – I won’t watch it. The duel should be a display of who is more powerful… but it leans more to who is more creative and playing with their magic.

• I finished it because I kinda like the Russian theme of it. I never read something like this, it was really fascinating. That was the best and coolest part of the story, I think.

• The origin of their magic, I kinda want to know more about it… it was interesting in a way. It was only explain a little bit, they should’ve explored it more.

• This is the kind of book that NEEDS a prequel. The story started very in-your-face strong, I would’ve wanted see feel/see a buildup.

• I like the title and the cover–it was very eye catchy, the color though.

Review: The Marked Girl

The Marked Girl The Marked Girl by Lindsey Klingele
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I LOVE THE COVER! YEE HA!!!

Now… the book, it was probably the most predictable thing ever.
The things/scenes I thought that will happen happened.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• The concept was very unoriginal, I’m sorry.
I mean, if you want to write a book with the concept that has been done many times, you gotta stand out. Sadly this one failed.

• I see a bit of potential with the way the scenes were put together and the way it ended. I gave it 4 stars and finished this thing.

• I am the kind of reader that if the book is written by some author that I don’t know/never read their books and then I feel the story of the book I’m reading is predictable–it happens a lot of times–I’m not going to finish it. The only way I am going to finish something like it is when I see a redeemable quality/part of it. If you asked me if I am going to buy this book… sadly I won’t. My ARC is enough.

• I also felt like the people from the other world felt more like they were from the past.

Morning Star (Red Rising, #3) by Pierce Brown [REVIEW]

Morning Star by Pierce Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

GOODREADS SUMMARY: Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society's mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within.

Finally, the time has come.

But devotion to honor and hunger for vengeance run deep on both sides. Darrow and his comrades-in-arms face powerful enemies without scruple or mercy. Among them are some Darrow once considered friends. To win, Darrow will need to inspire those shackled in darkness to break their chains, unmake the world their cruel masters have built, and claim a destiny too long denied - and too glorious to surrender.
“What is pride without honor? What is honor without truth? Honor is not what you say. It is not what you read. Honor is what you do.”

*BANGING MY HEAD ON THE TABLE*
I DON’T WANT TO LET GO!!! I DON’T WANT THIS TO END! *SOB*
Pierce Brown just blown my mind page by page and every charter has something that will make you feel. From start to finish the excitement never went down!
DEAR MR PIERCE BROWN, YOU ARE MASTER, MY GOODMAN. *bow*

MORNING STAR IS THE GAME OF THRONES OF SPACE. FORGET HUNGER GAMES, FORGET DIVERGENT, FORGET THOSE SCI/FI BOOKS OR ANY OTHER SERIES, THE RED RISING TRILOGY IS THE ‘IT’ YOU’LL LOOKING FOR IN A BOOK/SERIES.

They call me the Morning Star. That star by which griffin-riders and travelers navigate the wastes in the dark months of winter. The last star that disappears when daylight returns in the spring.

*MC’s Corner*
WARNING: S-U-P-E-R S-P-O-I-L-E-R-S
ITS NOT REALLY A REVIEW, IT WAS MORE OF A REACTION.

#LIFEGOAL TO MEET PIERCE BROWN.

I think I have more than 50 favorite parts. IT WAS SO GORYDAMN GOOD!
Morning Star reminds me so much of the First Red Rising & Golden Son. It is like repeating what happened on the institute but now it’s real. Then the war… now it’s bigger and more enemies.

Can I talk about the ending again? *grin*
I just love it. It’s like the old saying: ‘there’s always a rainbow after a rain’, it fits perfectly. I think Darrow super deserves that.
We don’t know what is going to happen next but you know what I was so satisfied that I don’t even care about that. That’s for us (readers) to figure out and make their ‘forever’ in our minds.

I don’t have any gripes about the way this series is written. I think this was also the best I have ever read. Not only it was well-written the placement of scenes and where the highlights and the climax of the story. AND DON’T FORGET THE DEATHS. (SCROLL DOWN)
Speaking of the climax… GOSH! THAT NEVER EVER EVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE. I CALL IT ‘THAT CHAPTER’.
#SUPERSPOILER
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CRYING –WET EYES AND NOSE–THEN SUDDENLY… *BOOM* IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE I DON’T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED. OH-MY-GOD! I WAS THROWN OF GUARD. NEXT THING I KNOW SEVRO IS DEAD. O.O
And that says everything about the author’s level of writing. It was just sublime! *thumbs up*

I cried a lot reading Morning Star, I cried more than I cried when I was John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, not as hard but more than. No jest, I did. I’ve been a fan of Pierce Brown since the day I finished reading Red Rising (days after it was first published). And then I got an ARC for Golden Son… I was the first ones to finish Golden Son… meaning waiting for the Third Book is more excruciating for me.
After I finish one chapter then another, I was thinking, ‘this is it, it’s happening’. The ending I mean, then my eyes starts to water. That happened for the first couple of chapters.

“...And when I looked out at the Hollows, I just knew, I mean I guess I realized as I was talking that justice isn’t about fixing the past, it’s about fixing the future. We’re not fighting for the dead. We’re fighting for the living. And for those who aren’t yet born. For a chance to have children. That’s what has to come after this, otherwise what’s the point?”–Darrow of Lykos to Sevro au Barca

• CHARACTERS :

o Darrow – duh! He can do anything!
He had this identity issue, he felt like he doesn’t belong, even though everyone (Sons) treats him with respect and they feared him. In a way he felt he was an outcast, he is a Red with the face of a Gold.
Those moments of Darrow with his friends… love them.
Pierce Brown gave Darrow a moment for every one of his friends. (Yeah! Those are some of the most emotional part of this book.)
I also like that even though Morning Star is written on Darrow’s POV I noticed that it was really not all about him. It was well-balanced for characters. They all had their moments.
THEY CUT OFF HIS HAND! Wah!!!!

“Maybe it’s not about what I look like. Maybe it’s about what I do.”–Darrow of Lykos

o Sevro – damn! This kid is mad! LOVE HIM! And I’m going to miss him a lot, well not his smell. HE IS THE MOST LOYAL ALLY AND FRIEND OF DARROW.
He’s wearing Darrow’s eyes.
He got married. THE LEADER OF HOWLERS GOT MARRIED? HELL YEAH THE GORYDAMNED BOYO GOT MARRIED!!!
The first part where’s he’s kinda mad with Darrow… and I felt like he really wants to be be a leader just like his (dead) father (Ares AKA Fitchner), the thing is he just can’t. Then he had a moment with Darrow and they tried killing each other… I think they talked first IDK. The first part where I felt like their friendship is falling apart, it broke my heart ‘seeing them fighting like that.

o Mustang – I’m so glad this b*tch didn’t get that much part.
Well he certainly benefited with everything. #IMBITTER
Thank stars she had a redeeming part. *sigh* Thank you Mustang.
What’s your real name again?

o Cassius – why didn’t you tell me?! *GRRR*
I agree with Pierce Brown for not killing this guy. I hated him with all might and at the same time understand him fully.
Cassius don’t ever cross Darrow again.

***DEATHS***

o Ragnar – why? *sob*

o The Jackal – I hate him more than I hate Voldemort and Cersei Lannister.
THE ROOT OF ALL EVILS!!! HE’S IS WICKED! HELL WILL SPIT HIM OUT! WHERE? HELL IF I KNOW. *evil grin*
I LOVE YOUR DEATH. (GOSH! IT WAS SO WEIRD SAYING THAT.)
But I really do. Mustang gave him mercy that he didn’t give to those people he thoughtlessly killed.

o Aja – is this b*tch a cat or something? He just keeps on popping out and alive.

o Octavia – I would love to watch her dying… She died too easily.

o Roque – let’s just say he died a Gold. Conceited bastard!
*crying* At least Darrow gave him the honor of dying that way.

o Antonia – THE FUNNIEST DEATH EVER. *grin*
OHMYGOSH! Just talking about it makes me want to laugh so hard.
I wished it was Victra who killed this b*tch.

o Sevro – OH YEAH! HE DIED BTW.

NO PREDICTABLE SCENES. FOR EVERYTIME YOU TURN THE PAGE YOU’LL ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING NEW!
AND… IT WAS SO LONG THAT I DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE THAT. NO JEST! I WOUNLDNT MIND A COUPLE OF MORE PAGES. WAHAHA!

I GUESS THIS IS REALLY IT!
I DON’T WANT TO LET GO OFR THIS SERIES. *DEEP SIGH*
ITS HARD TO LET GO… JUST THINK HOW THIS STORY STARTED. FROM A HUSBAND WHO BECAME A MARTYR FOR BURYING HIS DEAD WIFE.

PS: DEAR PIERCE BROWN, I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO READ YOUR NEXT WORK!!!
SET THE DATE!!! *GRIN*

“Break the chains!”

Review: Legend

Legend Legend by Katy Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WARNING: THIS IS REVIEW IS FULL OF SUPER SPOILERS.

I just have to say this.
Near the last I was already thinking how I’m going to lash out on this review if Remy lost in the finals. And then… someone stepped on the brake, and I totally forgot how I am going to be mad at Katy Evans. I had tears in my eyes. *gasp*
Seriously, no kidding. It all makes sense, I am more than impressed!
LEGEND! THIS IS LEGEND MEN!
LEGEND!

*MC’s Corner*

• The way Katy Evans wrote that last part was just sublime. I will never forget ‘that scene’, ever. One of my fave scenes among the books I’ve read. *bow* *clap clap* *bow*

• I am so glad that Katy Evans wrote another Fighter/MMA book. I’ve been waiting for a book like this. I missed reading one–a great one. Though I am wondering if you are going to write another one. No one wants to see Remy’s successor lose right?
I suggest dear Ms Katy Evans you should write another MMA book with new character maybe without all your past characters. *grin*

• I have one gripe, I am not even sure. LOL.
I think the book was too sure. I am not really sure. I also think I read it very fast. *sigh*
I should hit my head on the table. That’s it.

• CHARACTERS:
o MAVERICK ‘the AVENGER’ CAGE – Apparently, he’s the son of Remy’s mortal enemy. He’s determined to make his father, who is in a coma–the evil man deserves that, proud. Weird? IKR?
But he is nothing like his father. Then he met Reese who gave her v-card to him. Fell in love blah blah blah.
This guy really reminded me so much of Remy. I don’t know exactly what or where but he does. And Remy agreed to that.

o REESE DUMAS – Oh yeah! Mav and Remy’s another similarity is they fell in love with a Dumas girl. Wahaha. I’m so clever, not.
So Reese is the virgin girl… whoa lso is Brooke’s cousin… blah blah blah. I don’t want to talk about her. I still want to talk about how hot her boyfriend is. *Cheshire cat grin*(Brooke is Remy’s wife)

o REMINGTON TATE – I F***ING MISSED YOU SO MUCH! YOU ARE STILL SO HOT! *fanning my face* And also, you are still on my top 10 favorite fiction character – AKA (BOOK BOYFRIEND)

o RACER TATE – He is Remy’s son. SO CUTE! OH MY GOSH! I-WANT-TO-PINCH-KISS-TICKLE-HIM-KIND of cute. So adorable…
WHAT?!
• MUST READ THIS YEAR!!! GET YOUR COPIES REMY’S BITCHES!!! GRRR!

True Letters from a Fictional Life True Letters from a Fictional Life by Kenneth Logan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

True Letters from a Fictional Life
by Kenneth Logan [ARC REVIEW]

I love the whole concept of this book. On my perspective, as gay (not closeted) I felt everything he’s feeling. It was very realistic and people will relate and respond to this.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• James Liddell – he’s kinda popular guy in school, maybe not that popular… let’s just say he’s part of the cool kids. The story is written on his POV, he has a girlfriend which they (other people, family etc.) thought they’re going to end up together forever. But here’s the problem (his problem), he doesn’t see it that way. He is attracted to guys, really attracted and he’s afraid to tell his family and friends about it because he is afraid of how are they going to react with it. Then he met this very cute guy named Topher… NOW WHAT?!

• Gosh! When I read that first bullet ( ↑ ) it sounded so cliché.
Well… there’s an interesting thing about this book. The letters–Oh! I just love those parts–James writes these letters (to his fictional life *grin*) that he will never ever ever going to send. These letters has words that he really wants to say to the recipient but he can’t, so he just writes them down on paper.
One day, some of the letters went missing. And people start receiving letters from James. HE DID NOT SEND THEM.
I truly love those parts where he writes them. Full of emotion floating around the air.
NOTE: James got this idea from the book he read about Abraham Lincoln.

• I’m not sure how to put it in word exactly… but I felt like there are some parts where James was so ‘gay’ and then some point that deep inside him he thinks he’s not gay. He’s reluctant about it.
For me, it makes perfect sense for him to feel that way because he’s hiding it most of his life.
So what I’m saying is Kenneth Logan really did an excellent job wring this book! *thumbs up*

• THE COVER
*grin* OH MY GOSH!
Is a crocodile (or alligator, I have no idea what that is) symbolizes something or what? And why does it look like a penis? WAHAHA. TOTALLY EYE CATCHY!!!

Tap (A Lovibond Novel #1)
by Georgia Cates [REVIEW]

I really loved the story of Tap and Lawry but everytime I think about this book, the first thing comes to my head is how much I hate the cover. I’m sorry. Everything except the cover is purr-ffffectt.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• This is new… a series about business partners. Three book in a series with three different main characters. Hmmm… If this thing went to 3 business partner fell in love with three 3 friends… let’s just say I am not going to be very happy about it. I mean if this series is about Lawry and her gang falling in love with three business partners…
So yeah, I am crossing my fingers for that to not happen.

• Honestly, if I did not read the blurb I would think Lawrence was a guy. Ha!

• Sadly… Tap ( Lucas Broussard) doesn’t have the quality of Jack Henry McLachlan I loved very much.
But still good and fun story. I enjoyed it. I just have this ‘thing’ that I like comparing them to the previous series characters I loved from author’s previous works.

Review: Aced

Aced Aced by K. Bromberg
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Aced (Driven, #4)
by K. Bromberg [REVIEW]

This whole thing is wonderful... and beautiful. It is nice to know what happened before their HEA. And puh-lease, who gets tired on reading about Colton Donavan?!

Honestly speaking (writing), I was a bit disappointed on how things went in the end. Aced was sooo long and the ending was as small as dust. Yes I am really disappointed. I was hoping of maybe a continuation of the ending of the previous Colton-Rylee book.
Well, that’s just the ending and I did not say I don’t love that part any less. Just have this unexplainable feeling of wanting more.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.

• I don’t know what women with post-partum depression feel–I know little about it. O.o
Damn… Rylee is…–I am really sorry for saying this–so annoying. I really felt bad for Colton, he’s so loving and everything and she’s just… yeah.

• What I mean about that on the previous bullet is… K. Bromberg successfully wrote a thing about women with PPD. I think women who experience/experiencing that will love or relate to this book.

• ON THE EVIL NOTE… *evil laugh*
Dear Colton,
I wish you left Rylee. Yes!
Why? What else? So I could take care of you… and your baby. I could totally replace her.
*evil laugh again*

• THE SCANDAL!
OH MY!!! I DON’T MIND WATCHING THAT! *grin*

• I love the ‘I’m game’, it was so sweet and very intimate in a way…

• I missed you so much Colton Donavan! Till next time!!! HOPEFULLY!

Review: First Touch

First Touch First Touch by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First Touch (First and Last, #1)
by Laurelin Paige [REVIEW]

Oh MY! Reeve Sallis is a beast!
Literally and figuratively. **fanning my face** DAAAAMN…NNN!!!

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of this book is SEXY. That’s how I describe this book! It was so good! MUST READ!

*MC’s Corner*
WARNING: SPOILERS. OFFEND ING WORDS and this is me being honest.
• I missed this kind of writing of Laurelin Paige, because to be honest her last book, for me, was a total flop. I don’t even remember the title. I was a big fan of Fixed and with this book you just made remember why I loved Fixed.
You bet I am going to read the next book!

• I don’t understand the cover… It looks cool. And to be honest I don’t know why I am ‘kinda’ complaining about the cover. Maybe I am looking for a half naked sexy & hot guy on the cover or something. Ha! That’s it! **grinning like a fool**

• CHARACTERS:

o EMILY WAYBORN – She’s so weird. I think she’s a bisexual and she doesn’t know it.
Damn! What a slut she was. Really… she is. Gosh, and I am the kind of reader that is not easily shocked or appalled. But this girl did– I think that’s how I will describe Emily. She just stunned me everytime she talks about her past especially those of her and Amber’s rendezvous. Sometimes I just cringe. PHEW.
o REEVE SALLIS – My gut says Reeve Sallis is hiding something very important that involves Emily. He just got that aura. }
He is yum yum **salivating** grrrr.
He’s a beast.

So weird, I just realized that First Touch only revolved around Reeve and Emily. First Touch is probably the prequel of the real story. It’s just getting started and I can’t wait for it!

• It is kinda refreshing to finish a book like this. Lately, nothing satisfies my craving for ‘x-ionaire’ meets girl then they fall in love theme. You know? I am a big fan of the story of Fifty Shades Trilogy so maybe I was looking for something that will remind me of it or something.

• Well, for the record Reeve is not Christian fucking Grey. But he’s as sexy as him in my head. **grin** :p

Review: First Touch

First Touch First Touch by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First Touch (First and Last, #1)
by Laurelin Paige (Goodreads Author)

PHEW.
o REEVE SALLIS – My gut says Reeve Sallis is hiding something very important that involves Emily. He just got that aura. }
He is yum yum **salivating** grrrr.
He’s a beast.

So weird, I just realized that First Touch only revolved around Reeve and Emily. First Touch is probably the prequel of the real story. It’s just getting started and I can’t wait for it!

Review: True Letters from a Fictional Life

True Letters from a Fictional Life True Letters from a Fictional Life by Kenneth Logan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review: The Shadow Queen

The Shadow Queen The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a honest review, so I’m being honest right now.
I think it was well-written. The concept was good, it was actually brilliant.
It just it doesn’t have that extra oomph I am looking for. If there’s a sequel I probably would not read it.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.
• Let’s talk about the good thing first, I love, really love love love the heart thingy. Human heart, plants, water and etc. Then binding them with someone else’s heart. Really brilliant and magical.

• Another good thing is that I still remember some scenes. Bad thing I don’t remember how they looked liked in my head.

• I think the one that threw me off was the story itself, because concept-wise I loved it. The story, not so much. I mean it was the most predictable thing. Sometimes I like predictable, sometimes I don’t. So yeah.

• Well, I finished it, that’s a good thing. I did not stop and not finish it.

Review: The Best Goodbye

The Best Goodbye The Best Goodbye by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grrr!!! That was so short!
But it was still lovely!!!
I love everything about this book except one. THE COVER, I don’t know, I just don’t feel it.

*MC’s Corner*

• WAAAH! ITS CAPTAIN! River Kipling. NAKAKALOKA!
LOVE HIM!

• You have to admit, this story has been told multiple times. The thing is is Abbi Glines also has this ability/undeniably awesome talent on making/writing these cliché stories (you have to admit they are) and making them fresh, cool and beautiful all over again. *thumbs up* I just love reading every seconds I spent reading this book.

• I have three gripes. First, Captain’s daughter is so annoying. She makes my head want to explode.

• Second, the cover. Uh-oh I am not feeling it at all. Sorry.

• Last, the last part. I just want to erase that in my mind. GRRRR.

• Still no plan on writing Jimmy’s story? *me sending daggers with my eyes*

• Gosh! I kinda miss Rush, maybe I’m going read their stories again.

Review: Wick

Wick Wick by Matt Doyle
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

Thank you so much to Mr. Matt Doyle for trusting me with his book! I do appreciate it a lot.

Wick is fun, cool andddd reminded me so much of animes.
Years ago I was a big anime fan and there’s no day I don’t watch. LOVE THEM.
Wick reminded me of those times. *thumbs up*
At first I thought of YuGi-Oh!, (which is actually, still one of my fave and also still own hundreds of trading cards, stored on a shoebox near my magazines and books *grin*) with the cards and battle arena thingies… and yeah the announcers. As the story goes, I thought of one anime –which title I forgot, sorry– but the story I did not. The story of it, if I remember it correctly, revolves around a boy with this device (like WICK, on this book) and they insert cards in them. And they have this characters, I think the name of the boy’s character is Rockman, and then they battle other characters (like RPG) on a actual virtual world. The cards are for powerups or something blah blah blahs.
So I guess what I am saying is if you loved animes especially those with trading cards you’ll appreciate this book even more, and yeah, understand it pretty quick.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.
• I kinda like the age gaps between the characters. And their names! They are so cool.

• Best parts were those on the Battle Zone. The fights were awesome, written really good. The announcers did a really good job describing them.
I wonder, though, can they converse/shout to their opponent while fighting?
There are some maneuvers, techniques of some kind of kick or punch that I don’t really understand but it’s still okay for me. I really did feel like I was watching the actual fight.

• I think it will work better if it there’s some illustrations; it was kinda hard to picture the Spark Forms inside my head. Then they are two, and fighting, sometimes I kinda forget what kind of species are they.

Review: The Mirror King

The Mirror King The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*REVIEW FOR BOOK 1 & 2*

Honestly, I read the first book because I have the ARC for the second one. *grin*
I had the ARC for the first, but its only has a couple of chapters, so I never read it. *grin* blah blah blah…

Surprisingly, it was pretty good. I liked it a lot. And when I finished it, I got excited to read the next one. *thumbs up*

Now… if I compare it to Jodi Meadows’ previous Series, New Soul, I prefer that.

*MC’s Corner*
Note: Spoilers.
• (BOOK 1) I want to know more about the ‘magic’, I wanna know where it came from and maybe the origin of it.

• It seems those wraiths were so easily killed, I wonder why other people or maybe some guards (in there) can’t kill them. Why wait for the Black Mask to do the job?

• Also, I felt like everything Wilhelmina does is so easy even the circumstances are not. It’s hard to believe, for me. I get the she’s kickass and everything… still, tone it down a bit.

• The story is really good and memorable. I think of this book and instantly I get series of scenes inside my head. Kudos for that.

• The cover (book 1), I really don’t get it.

• Finished second book.
I’m pretty sure there’s no third book coming, no?

• I’m not sure, I felt like there are some missing parts (book 2), maybe it was really like that or just my ARC. Hmmm…

• I did not use the map. EVER. I don’t get the purpose of it.

• Black Knife and Wil… I wish they had more moments here on Mirror King. You know?
This is the time I want to put a pinch of romance, it lacks a bit. But you nailed their chemistry, I felt it.

• TWISTS- hmmm… there are more than a couple of them. Good and fun ones… wahaha!
I love (SPOILER ALERT) the one about James. I did not see that coming. OOOh!

• I still don’t understand why these wraiths are killing people. Doesn’t make sense to me.
(Answering my own question)
Why does someone commits murder? *raise left eyebrow*

• Both books are good; forget my blah blahs up there. I did enjoy them, no kidding. My gripes are mostly technicalities. Don’t mind them.

• MARKET – perfect for Young-Adult books readers. I approve! *thumbs up*

Review: Unforgiven

Unforgiven Unforgiven by Lauren Kate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*MC’s Corner*

• It’s a lil bit weird for me.
You know that I love that this book is Cam’s but his girl’s name is Lillith.
It threw me off, truthfully. It just that it’s hard for me to love that character when her names denotes to demon. (No offense for those who actually has this name, but it true.)
I’ve read a couple of Nephilim books and they mostly have an evil character named Lillith.

• The whole vibe that this book gave me while reading it is so heavy. So sad and depressing. (A good thing for the author, because you succeeded with that.)

• I think the concept was good. The challenges Cam faced are really challenging, not only he has to make her (not saying her name again) fall in love with him, again, in fifteen days, he’s also has to survive school and the changes that is happening to his physical form. It was s good that, when I think of that, it was so clear inside my head. I’m grinning right now… I don’t know why. I must be mad.

• Let’s talk about Luce and Daniel… really?! OhMyGosh! That so so sad and… beautiful.
